Macapá

The SARAH Macapá Center for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, situated by Marco Zero, near the Equator line, was inaugurated in 2005. It is dedicated to pediatric and adolescent neurorehabilitation, e.g., cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, stroke, neuropsychomotor developmental delays, and babies who are at-risk for brain injury.

In 2015, SARAH/Macapá added orthopedic physical therapy for adults. The rehabilitation team treats adults with physiotherapeutic interventions and promotes ongoing treatment through regular physical activity.

All the patients undergo assessment, treatment and follow-up by an interdisciplinary team.  Case studies and discussions via videoconferencing enable wide-ranging access for all Network professionals, providing assistance from various specialties and increasing the effectiveness of the teams’ interventions.

The services rendered here are exclusively outpatient.
