Belém

The SARAH Belém Pediatric Rehabilitation Center, located near the Guajará Bay, was inaugurated in December 2007 and specializes in the neurorehabilitation of children and adolescents with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, stroke, neuropsychomotor developmental delays, and babies who are at-risk for brain injury.

In order to fulfill the needs of the region, SARAH Belem offers courses on child development, educational inclusion, early childhood stimulation and related subjects for public school teachers and staff from other public health facilities.

In 2015 Sarah Belem expanded its program to include adult orthopedic physical therapy.  It opened a rehabilitation program for the local population, as well as those treated at other Network facilities, thereby preserving and advancing the possibility of patients acquiring new functional gains.  In addition to conservative interventions, the teams also promote ongoing physical activity as an extension of treatment.

The services rendered here are exclusively outpatient.
